Who ever heard of a jewelry roll? Well luxe brand, Banana Republic, has made just that—this “Jewelry Roll” is for storing jewelry. The clutch-like piece of fabric unwraps to reveal three wide pockets lined in silk for storage. With its red velvet exterior and beautiful satin bow, I say this item could even be used as a handbag for holiday events!

Measuring 7 ½” x 4″ and at only $38, that’s not a bad choice.

While I have already posted about the Sandhurst Wristlet, I had not yet had a chance to look at all the purses in Banana Republic’s most recent Premium Handbag collections, the Sandhurst and Chatham lines. After receiving an e-mail yesterday morning, I decided to take a look at the new fall arrivals.

Just as I expected, some of the bags in each collection caught my eye, while others didn’t do anything for me. Each collection has its fine points: the Sandhurst has more of a casual feel, with soft leathers and relaxed shapes, while the Chatham is more traditional with equestrian details.

My favorite piece is probably the Chatham Satchel ($298). I like its shape and the way it sits on the shoulder, plus the fact I could carry it to work and on the weekend—a multitasking bag!

With a bit of a rugged vintage look, the Sandhurst Wristlet by Banana Republic is calling my name as a possible bag for fall. It has a simple, classic silhouette, it’s made from creamy 100% Italian leather and it measures 7.5″ l x 4.5″ h x 1″ d. The focal point of the design is the brass buckle, which is the perfect accent to the leather.

The strap, which has a 6-inch drop, is adjustable, allowing you to carry the bag more like a traditional purse or as a wristlet.

When you don’t need to carry a lot of necessities, this would be a great grab-and-run bag, perfect for running errands on the weekends and for $78, it’s a nice break on the budget!

So luxe and drool-worthy from Banana Republic is this Tangiers Macramé Shoulder Bag. I couldn’t describe it better than, “interwoven loops add extreme texture,” because this bag practically leaves me speechless. I can’t get over the fine-crafted detail, and it’s even more stunning in person, with completely unique, spiky weaves. What a treasure. Even the strap is gorgeous, in braided leather. Who knew something so divinely designed could come from macramé (made from 100% cotton!), and even Banana Republic? Who needs expensive designer leather bags, and who really needs the cheaper straw? With a bag this fine, what I truly can’t believe is the price: only $148!

I could fall over right now.

In “chalk” (off-white) at Banana Republic.com and still in stores is the brown, which is more subtle and sensible. (I don’t think this one will last ’til the sales!)

If you like the popularity of straw this spring, but have yet to pick up a piece because all the purses you like have been a tad too expensive (myself included), take a look at this straw makeup bag by Banana Republic. It’s only $32! Measuring 4.5″ l x 5.5″ h x 2.5″ d, it’s the perfect piece to buy to carry in your larger purses. My favorite part is that the monogram lining is water- and stain-resistant—that’s a must for any bag claiming to be made to handle makeup! Plus, even if you don’t want to use it for makeup, it would make an adorable coin purse!

Banana Republic has really been pushing their Premium Handbag Collections, even going so far as having “The Daily Bag Grab,” a giveaway contest where you have three chances to try to match up purses. I have yet to win, which by the way, does anyone ever really win at these sorts of games or are they just always set up so no one can win? Hmm…

Anyway, it seems everyone has been talking about the Tangiers collection, and while I do enjoy those purses, I really like the Kempton collection, including the Printed Harness Tote, which measures 21.75″ l x 18″ h x 8″ d. Of course, with a name including “Harness”, it’s no surprise that the design is equestrian-inspired with metal ring details and hand-braided straps. But, I also think that with its color palette, graphic print and linen fabric, it also fits right in with the current crop of new spring handbags inspired by natural materials and textures. Priced at $198, it’s much more affordable than many of the spring handbags we’ve probably all been looking at lately.

After recently seeing a magazine layout featuring key charms as an upcoming trend, what did I happen to stumble upon but this Key to My Heart Bag Charm, available from Banana Republic. Made of solid brass, it features a skeleton key, along with an assortment of acrylic and brass charms. Don’t wait until Valentine’s Day to pick this up because it might be hard to find; $24 is a small price for such an adorable bag accessory!
